My Concerns Regarding Lilly Phillips and Bonnie Blue.

The adult industry carries an inherent stigma, one that has tragically claimed lives—examples of which, sadly, are all too numerous. While some of us strive for a more ethical and responsible industry, we are confronted by the media's over-idealisation of our field, often manipulated to serve political agendas.

The narrative of empowerment, high financial reward, and minimal effort is a half-truth at best. Such portrayals not only entice individuals to join without fully comprehending the implications but also oversaturate the market. Worse still, they drive some to resort to degrading, dangerous, and reprehensible tactics in a bid to stand out.

Lilly, in her pursuit, did not merely degrade herself to the point of dissociation for much of her time, breaking down in tears; she went further, transitioning from a pornographic actress with human agency to little more than a sexual object, stripped of her humanity.

Most troubling is the ripple effect of her actions. Lilly’s disregard, even for her own dignity, risks dragging our industry into a historical regression.
